About Us

Hello and welcome to the Holcombe Association.

We exist to provide much needed support to the school by helping out at Parent-Teacher consultation evenings, Music Concerts and Drama Productions.

But there is more to us than simply serving the odd cuppa to other parents (and staff) whilst they wait for their next appointment. We play an invaluable role in organising and running fundraising events throughout each year to provide the school with additional funds to enrich school life for our students.

Discos, Quiz Nights, Murder Mystery Nights, Raffles, Christmas Draws and Summer Fayres have all helped contribute towards the school's fleet of 6 mini-buses, Drama & Music equipment and Stage & Lighting equipment not to mention an Industrial Washing Machine for all that dirty kit that the school's many sports teams produce.

We know that people lead busy lives but would welcome anyone who may be willing to help, even if it is only for a couple of nights over the whole year. It is practically our motto, "The more that help, the little bit less everyone has to do!"  We even have a few members whose children have long left the school. We don't ask you to sign your life away so you can be as involved as you choose.

One of the great benefits to our members is the greater access they get to the school staff and teachers. Now there's no special treatment but by regularly helping out, many of our members have really got to know some of the staff really well, maybe ones they would never have met otherwise. It really does provide a different insight to the work that teachers, staff and pupils do everyday.

So if your thinking that you might like to get involved or would like more information complete the Call Me form and one of the Committee will give you a quick call or alternatively your welcome to any of our regular monthly meetings. They normally start at 7.30pm but check the Upcoming Events page for details.
